We’re delighted to have helped Catalina Worthing Insurance Limited, a UK-authorised insurance company, and Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, with policyholder documentation for the proposed transfer of a portfolio of pre-2007 UK legacy employers’ liability insurance policies from Zurich to Catalina.
The Transfer will primarily be implemented through an insurance business transfer under Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (known as a ‘Part VII transfer’). To go ahead, it must be approved by the High Court, which will only approve the Transfer if it is appropriate in all of the circumstances. The Transfer is expected to take effect at 23:59 BST on 31 March 2026, if approved by the High Court of England and Wales.
B&C assisted with data processing, personalisation, typesetting, production and distribution of the various documents for UK and overseas policyholders, legal advisors, brokers and intermediaries.
Our thanks to our wonderful clients at Catalina Re and Zurich.
