B&C helps Catalina Re with a Part VII Transfer of policies from Zurich Insurance to Catalina

27/05/2026

We’re delighted to have been engaged by Catalina Re to help with the Part VII Transfer of a portfolio of pre-2007 legacy employers’ liability policies from Zurich Insurance Company Ltd to Catalina Worthing Insurance Limited.

The insurance business transfer scheme - under Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 - also consists of a transfer of policies relating to business carried on in Jersey pursuant to a separate scheme under the Insurance Business (Jersey) Law 1996.

The UK Scheme and Jersey Schemes were sanctioned by the High Court on 25 March 2026 and by the Royal Court of Jersey on 27 March 2026 respectively, and both took effect on 31 March 2026.

B&C helped with the initial data cleansing & sortation, same day print & post fulfilment, and recorded delivery tracking management which included providing weekly delivery status updates to Catalina Re.

Our thanks to our wonderful clients at Catalina Re.
